At the Healix Centre, we are experienced trauma and EMDR therapists, who provide psychological treatment for children, adolescents and adults.

While trauma underlies many mental health challenges, we work with a wide range of concerns including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, self-harm, complex trauma, dissociation, relationship difficulties, and parenting support.
​
Psychological treatment generally consists of an initial consultation and assessment followed by the creation of a personalised treatment plan and subsequent sessions to support you to achieve your therapy goals. For accessibility and convenience, consultations are provided both in-person and online.

We are committed to ensuring our fees remain below the recommended national standard as outlined by the Australian Psychological Society.

Rebates
Medicare rebate: To receive the medicare rebate, you will need a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) provided by your General Practitioner. A MHTP initially provides 6 rebated psychological sessions followed by an additional 4 sessions, totalling 10 rebated sessions per calendar year.
Private Health Insurance: To determine whether you are eligible for a rebate through your private health insurer, please check your current policy or contact your insurer directly.​
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation policy: We understand that you might need or want to cancel or amend your session. Please provide at least 2 business days notice prior to your appointment to avoid cancellation fees.

Cancellation within 2 business days will be charged 100% of the cost for the session. ​Please note, for sessions scheduled on Mondays, the cancellation policy does not apply over the weekend. In this case, notice must be given prior to Thursday morning to avoid cancellation fees.
